If there’s one person who lives and breathes netball, it’s our amazing coach.
Meet our founder and head coach, Ellie Moores. Ellie founded Valley Netball Club in 2021 with one simple aim: to give women in Rossendale somewhere welcoming to play netball, regardless of their age, experience or ability.
Despite juggling a full-time job, Ellie dedicates her time to mentoring, coaching and umpiring, while continuing to play herself and captain the Burnley Seniors netball team. Her passion for the sport and the people around it is at the heart of everything we do.
Five years ago, Ellie founded Valley Netball Club with a simple mission: to reignite ladies’ passion for netball, build confidence and get more people back on court. What started with that vision has grown into a friendly, supportive club where players can develop their skills, make new friends and enjoy being part of a team.
And now, Ellie is taking that passion one step further. As she takes over the Rossendale Netball League, the next chapter is all about breathing new life into the competition, creating more opportunities to play and welcoming more teams into the netball community.

A new team created by the club, the vixens entered the league in division 2 and soon showed their ability to develop as a team, seeing themselves promoted to Divison one for the summer league.
Where it all started. Born from our original Back to Netball sessions, the OGs are proof of exactly what Valley is about. Women who came along simply wanting to play netball again became teammates, league players and, most importantly, great friends.
Our latest back-to-netball team, made up of a group of ladies who threw themselves into our training sessions, put in the work and ultimately earned themselves a place in the league.
